A Labour MP has made history after using sign language to ask a question in the House of Commons.
Dawn Butler, the MP for Brent Central , called on the Government to give British Sign Language (BSL) legal status.
A Commons spokesman said they believed this was the first time that sign language has been used to ask a question in the Chamber.
